Insect Solutions Strongly Objects to Plans to Mine In The Interior Of Borneo
The Times recently ran an article regarding plans by the Anglo Australian Mining corporation BHP Billiton to try and revoke the protected status of the Interior of Borneo, so they can open cast mine for coal. The article can be seen by clicking here
This is a truly terrible idea and threatens a fragile ecosystem and puts in jeopardy the Orang Utang population of Borneo. I think emailing BHP Billiton directly to object plus conatcting our UK MP's to object must be the first step in the process of objection. We will keep you posted as we learn more.
